Hi, I'm George Wade — a California based writer, analyst, and fintech enthusiast with over seven years of hands-on experience sitting at the intersection of finance and technology.

My background is a little unusual, and I think that's what makes FinSight different.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and spent years working in Software Engineering at some of the most innovative companies in the world — Wells Fargo, Waymo, and YouTube. That combination gave me something rare: a deep understanding of how financial systems actually work on the inside, paired with the technical eye to evaluate software, AI tools, and platforms the way an engineer would.

At Wells Fargo, I saw firsthand how legacy financial institutions operate — the compliance demands, the risk models, the slow pace of innovation. At Waymo and YouTube, I experienced the opposite: fast moving AI-driven environments where data, algorithms, and user experience are everything. I've also launched my own startup, which taught me more about product-market fit, unit economics, and building with limited resources than any MBA program could.

FinSight was born out of a simple frustration: there are thousands of articles about fintech tools and AI investing platforms, but very few written by someone who has actually worked inside both worlds.
